Welcome to Africa Greater Life Mission UK

AGLMUK has supported Africa Greater Life Mission (a Ugandan charity) with children’s projects in Wakiso and Kampala, Uganda since 2006. The nature of that support has changed over the years but the fundamental objectives of AGLMUK still revolve around changing the life prospects of children and young men and women from impoverished backgrounds. We do this by:

  • Paying school fees and buying requirements for primary school children.
  • Supporting young people in the post-primary years in the most appropriate way for them. This might involve secondary education but may also involve vocational training, apprenticeships and/or assistance in finding work or setting up in business. Where appropriate, university courses are funded.
  • Employing people to mentor, provide health support and generally look-out-for the young people in question.
  • Providing money for healthcare, food and other needs that we, in the UK all take for granted.

Hi Ruth, and thanks very much for your comment.

Just to let everyone know we do not ignore these posts, one of the trustees who has been to Bulabakulu Village on several occasions contacted Ruth individually to let her know what experiences to expect.
